Turban Day
Turban is called the Crown of a Sikh and it is a symbol of pride and bravery. A Non-profit group ‘The Sikhs of New York’ celebrated Turban Day. It was a 4-hour event that was celebrated as a part of Baisakhi Celebrations. Turban Day was originally started in 2013 at Baruch College so that everyone can get a chance to wear it and experience its significance. The Sikh fervor gripped the Times Square, New York on this auspicious day. The main aim of this day was to celebrate Sikh Culture and to tell the whole world about its meaning. They also wanted to spread awareness about Sikh identity.
